Jutta Kirchner , zoo photographer in Austria

Kirchner was born * 1939-08-27 in Berlin Germany .

Jutta Kirchner started to take pictures in Tiergarten Schönbrunn (Vi enna Zoo) in 1992

After she retired from PSK (Postsparkasse) in 1999, she had even more time available to spend at least once in week in the zoo, but often more. She has also produced the annual Vienna Zoo Calender since 2002, and documenting animals in Haus des Meeres and other European Zoos, as well as in the wild.

Jutta has generously donated a lot of pictures with elephants to the website elephant.se, and due to her long time friendship with site owner Dan Koehl, she also documented his work with elephants in different European zoos and circuses, the training of a Group of wild caught African elephants at Sondelani Game Lodge 2002 in Zimbabwe, and 2006 at Victoria Falls after her Safari in Botswana with her friend Christine Stecyna, also photographer from Vienna.
