2013-09: In September 2013, a baby male elephant was found alone, collapsed in a water tank. The staff estimated his age to be around 18 months.

2018: He was released this summer in a batch of seven orphans, which also included our female Matriarch Grusha.

2020-05-04: The post-mortem examination on the elephant ‘Pokuna’ who was found dead at Kemthunegala, Udawalawe Wildlife Park revealed that it had died due to a gunshot
