Gautier was born * 1792-02-27 in France dead 1872-06-13 , in Sweden , son of director Jean Baptiste Gautier and director Rose de Lefevre

⚭ Married to Johanna Grunert born 1784 .

Didier Gautier was born in Chaumont, France, and toured Europe with his fathers menagerie, arriving Sweden in 1804, and then back to France through Denmark and Germany.

Didier Gautier returned with a circus to Sweden in 1830, and became a Swedish citizen in 1837. In 1831 he was granted permission to build a permanent circus building on Djurgården in Stockholm. The builing took fire later, and was rebuilt as present Djurgårdscircus. In 1869 Didi Gautier sold his circus Didier Gautiers menagerie to Adèle Houcke. He died in the city Gävle, Sweden.
