⚭ Married 1948 to Helene Kossmayer born 1907 in Germany .

Willy Kossmayer was killed by the elephant bull Jumbo in 1926. His son Hans Kossmayer took over the circus with his wife Helene Kossmayer (nee Althoff), sister to Adolf and Franz Althoff.

1951: Kossmayer bought 3 young Asian elephants.

1952: Toured with the elephants at Circus Schumann.

1956-1958: Kossmayer and his wife Helene Kossmayer rented Circus Apollo from Emil Wacker.
