2006-09-30: elephant head-keeper Ingolf Kastirke attacked by Mafuta. during morning routines, after she was unchained. Ingolf Kastirke Survived. Kastirke had at least three broken ribs and internal injuries, and was treated on hospital during October 2006. Mafuta was later relocated to Halle Zoo, transferred to Protected Contact.
