Circus Williams-Althoff, in Cologne, Germany , was founded in 1976. Circus Williams-Althoff closed down in 1996.

Comments / picturesCarola Williams, who founded Circus Willams which was sold to Irvin Field in 1968, who brought the circus to USA and labelled it as Ringling Red Unit.

1976: Circus Williams-Althoff was founded by Franz Althoff Jr. (born 1943), son of Adolf Althoff, and nephew to Carola Williams.

1991: Circus Williams-Althoff was renamed to Moscow circus.

1996. The circus closed down.
