Pu Luang arrived at MaeTaeng Elephant park in 2005. Pu Luang has never worked in the logging industry. He has always worked in the various elephant camps taking folks for a walk. Pu luang had his Tusks cut improperly causing infections in both left and right Tusks before arriving to the park. One tusk came out and the one remained sprouted a new tusk that grew in a distorted fashion. Pu Luang is owned by Ta’s Grandparents. He took over the responsibilities 6 years ago. The family are Karen Hilltribe peoples from Thailand near the Burmese border.
