Mae Jaan worked in the logging camps throughout Thailand. Her Mahout would sometimes travel for months looking for work. From lampang to borders of Burma, where ever there was work. After the Ban on Illicit, logging Mae Jaans Mahout headed for the trekking camps. Mae Jaan arrived to the park in 1997 to begin what is now been a long secure safe working environment where her Mahout can earn a decent living.
