† Casey is a dead Male ♂ African savanna elephant (Loxodonta africana), , who died 2003-09-23 at Kansas City Zoo, in United States, . Official death reason described as infection & arthritis.
Casey was born wild 1951, captured 1953 .
Casey and Lady A were imported together in 1954 to Johnson A. They both arrived to the Kasas City Zoo in July-August 1955. In June 1980, he measured approximately 3 meters & 4500 kilograms. In April 2001, the zoo celebrated Casey's 50th birthday. In September 2003 before his death, he was regarded as a class-5, the oldest class of elephants. Only 5 wild bulls are known in the wild (Amboseli).
