Peptita is said to have arrived in 1953 (imported 1953?) and trained first by Kalle Nyman 1958-1967, and she was trained by Pertti Sariola from 1967.

Pepita came 1990 to Zoolandia, from Suomen Tivoli in Finland. In Zoolandia was already the african elephant Vanni (later sold to Nikolaiev Zoo). The two females were nighttime separated in two boxes, wearing no chains, and was daytime kept together free. Pepita died 1995 in Uterus cancer.
