1978-05-05: animal trainer Eloise Berchtold fatal attack by Teak (Rajah). after she apparently slipped and fell during the Gatini Circus performance Eloise Berchtold † Eloise Berchtold Died 1978-05-05, Gatini Circus in Quebec. Teak, had been trained by Berry and Berchtold on the farm in Cowlitz County. Teak was immediately killed by the veterinarian at the circus. Morgan Berry spread her ashes on the farm.

In May 1978 Eloise Berchtold, the romantic partner of Morgan Berry, was trampled and killed by Teak, an elephant she had trained for years while she was showing it at a Gatini Circus in Quebec, Canada.
