  1. 2021-04-21: visitor Rachan Theerapittayatrakul fatal attack by Cherry. An elephant trampled a man to death on Thursday, while he was apparently trying to feed it by the side of a road in Nakhon Ratchasima. Pol Capt Arthit Poontaisong, deputy inspector of Mu Si police, said the incident occurred at 7.50am in front of the Jungle House Khaoyai resort near Thanarat Road in Pak Chong district. † Rachan Theerapittayatrakul Died 2021-04-21, Pak Chong. Police said the body of Rachan Theerapittayatrakul, 55, a sanitation technical officer for the Nakhon Ratchasima City Municipality, had suffered multiple fractures and was found near a female elephant known locally as Cherry.

Comments / pictures2019: The elephants are often called the Thanaratch Elephants because Thanaratch Road is the name of the road in front of the hotel.

The Thanaratch Road elephants are owned and maintained by the Jungle Resort, whose Front Office itself is right behind this roadside feeding spot. The roadside elephants were located diagonally across the road from Scenical World\'s main entrance.
