Buffalo Springs National Reserve, Kenya , was founded in 1948 and the first elephant arrived in 1948.

Comments / picturesBuffalo Springs National Reserve is a protected area in the Isiolo County in northern Kenya. The Buffalo Springs National Reserve is south of the Samburu National Reserve, which lies on the other side of the Ewaso Ngiro river. It is named after an oasis of clear water at its western end.
