Comments / pictures1972: Founded and built by the local municipal "Gemeinde Wingst" , and rented out to Firma Ruhe in Aalfeld. During this time 3 Asian, and 18 African elephants were located at Wingst Zoo.

Since 1994 the Zoo is managed by Gemeinde Wingst.
