Comments / pictures

In May 2019, elephant bull Tusker came to Rhenen from a zoo in Germany to provide for offspring. After a period of getting used to and exploring, he got on well with elephant Duna, resulting in a successful mating in November 2019.

2021-08-16: The little elephant was born on the night of August 16 at 1:10 am in the outdoor enclosure of the African elephants. Duna was with her friend Tembo during the delivery.
