Mona was born wild 1968.

Contradictory records:

The North American SSP states Mona came to the Mesker Park Zoo from Al G Barnes Circus. This is incorrect. Mona came from Carson and Barnes Circus; Al G Barnes Circus closed many decades prior and may have been confused with the Al G-Kelly Miller Brothers Circus, which had not owned elephants for several decades as well.
