Babe
Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) at

The North American Regional Studbook lists this elephant with a Temporary Studbook Number, lacking "supporting documentation to validate their identity."

Babe was born wild 1945.

Minnie and Babe arrived together to Zoo New England from a private New York company owner in June 1953. In January 1973, they were again sold together to the Carson & Barnes Circus. Minnie still resides there, though Babe was "Lost to Followup" according to the North American Regional Studbook for the Asian Elephant.
