Zelda was born wild 1977. and imported 1979 by International Animal Exchange (Ferndale)
Zelda, Cookie and Tinker were imported together from South Africa to the International Animal Exchange in May 1979. They arrvied to the North Carolina Zoo together. Cookie and Zelda died within two weeks of each other less than a year later of a generalized viral infection, while Tinker would live for eleven more years before euthanization.
