Contradictory records:

Often refered to as born on Sri Lanka, but in his book The Best of Friends, John Aspinall writes that all asian elephants, except Assam, were bought at the Sonepur market in India.

1984: 22-year-old elephant keeper Mark Aitken was killed when the bull elephant wrapped his Trunk around the man and crushed his head against an iron railing. He was killed instantly by the 13-year-old elephant Bindu. (Pawsweb)

2022-04-13: Due to his aggressiveness towards females in the herd, Bindu was kept separated.
