Comments / pictures

According to J. C. Danzansky, Dzimbo probably died of injuries she suffered from being pushed into the dry Moat at the National Zoo by Nancy, an African cow. Shortly after the incident he was transferred to Lion Country Safari, where he died three months after the accident.

The baby elephant "Dzimbo," was presented to the President Dwight D. Eisenhower by the Reverend Fulbert Youlou, President of the French Communities of the Congo Republic.

Dzimbo has an own chapter, The story of Dzimbo, in the book Seven True Elephant Stories by Barbara Williams
