1987: Captured in katepora forest near Somavarpet in 1987.
1997: After the elephant Drona died in 1997, Balarama carries the 750-kilo golden howdah during Dasara procession in Mysore.
2007-07-07: Abhimanyu, who went berserk, along with other elephants, gored Balarama in the forest.
2011-09-00: weighed 4,610 kgs.
2011-10-09: weighed 4,885 kgs.
2012: Elephant Balarama, who is scheduled to carry the golden howdah during the Dasara procession for the 13th year, was accompanied by his mahout Thimma, who was elevated from kavadi, after mahout Sannappa retired last year. Balaramas kavadi is Gacha.
2015: weighed 4,990 kgs.
