Katka is a living Female ♀ African savanna elephant (Loxodonta africana) , located at the Danzig Zoo (Zoo Gdansk), in Poland.
Katka arrived in 2006-10-27 to the Danzig Zoo (Zoo Gdansk), relocated from the La Fleche Zoo, in France.

2005-05-12:Sabi who at this time was peacefully eating some hay. Without any forewarning signs (she was also eating some hay) and arriving violently behind Sabi, Katka has pushed and lifted her, taking Sabi between her rear legs and at her bottom. Sabi has lost her balance and falled the head up-side-down and turned toward her back, on a rock. With the weight of her body and in such circumstances, she broke her neck immediatly and died within 2 or 3 minutes in this position without any attempt from her to try to move.
