Esala is a living Male ♂ Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) , located at the Polwatte temple, in Sri Lanka.

Esala arrived in 2002-07-11 to the Polwatte temple, relocated from the Pinnawala elephant orphanage, in Sri Lanka.

In Polwatte temple, Esala lives as single living elephant at this location

Esala was born captive-born as birth number 6 1993-07-01 at Pinnawala elephant orphanage.

2012: Present as nr 2. at 33rd Annual Nawam Maha Perahera at Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo.
