1. 1988-10-03: veterinarian Gail Hedberg attacked by Tinkerbelle. knocked her down and did a "headstand" on her, Hedberg was nearly crushed to death Gail Hedberg Survived. Hospitalized with a broken pelvis. Hedberg, a nine-year veteran of the zoo, remained hospitalized in stable condition Sunday at San Francisco General Hospital. She had been treating an abscess on Tinkerbelle's head Saturday when she apparently hit a sensitive spot.

Tinkerbelle was born wild 1966, captured 1967 .
