† Mongu is a dead Female ♀ African savanna elephant (Loxodonta africana), , who died 2006-08-19 at Danzig Zoo (Zoo Gdansk), in Poland, . Official death reason described as stomach ulcus.

EEG state Mongu as born 1974/1975. Mongu came through animal trader van den Brink 1980 to Dresden Zoo in Germany. Eventually she came more and more aggressive and was transfered 1987 to Rostock Zoo, Germany, and then to Gdansk (Danzig) Zoo, where she spent some years with two asian females. She was living there alone, until Danzig recieved Vicky, confiscated from Circus Giovanni Althoff.
