The illustrationz above are taken from two pamphlets describing the elephant.

Soon after arrival, the elephant went on auction, and was sold for £ 2000 (or £ 1 600 according to Robert Hooke) to a private person who toured England with the elephant, first exhibited at Rising Star near Clerkenwell Green in St Johns Court, the White Horse Inn at Fleet street, Salisbury Court.

February 8 1676, Lord Berkeley received permission to send back "two blacks" (elephant care takers?) to Bantam in Java with the next ships.
