Fredy Knie Jr., circus director in Switzerland Born 1946-09-30 , son of director Fredy Knie Sr. . Fredy Knie junior (born September 30 , 1946) is a Swiss circus director and horse trainer. He is son of Fredy Knie senior (1920–2003) and Pierrette Knie-Dubois (1921–2013). At the age of four, Fredy junior rode in Antwerp for the first time in front of an audience, as a five-year-old artist he experienced his first Swiss tour in 1951. In the circus he learned juggling and acrobatics from the artists present, from his father Fredy senior the horse dressage. From his father he later took over the management of the world-famous knieschen horse dressage and appeared for decades in the Circus Knie and also abroad. In 1972, he married Mary-José Galland, who did not grow up in a circus. On January 19, 1973, their daughter Géraldine Katharina Knie, the representative of the seventh generation Knie, was born. 1992: Knie has been running the Circus Knie with his cousin Franco Knie senior since 1992 and was the artistic director of the company, until he handed over this task to his daughter Géraldine Katharina Knie.
