Stuart Craven (1833-1890) was among the most famous elephant trainers, ever. He worked for van Amburg, Forepaugh, Cooper and Bailey, and other circuses. Died of consumtion in Dallas, Jan. 16, 1890, 56 years old.

1868: Stuart Craven married Lilly Mondena Martin in October 1868.
1869-12-27: Charles Stuart Craven was born.

1872: Adam Forepaugh (keeper of Romeo).
1876: Adam Forepaugh Shows: Trained 7 elephants
1879 Cooper and Bailey
1880: Cooper and Bailey.
1890: Died in Dallas.

Together with the animal trader Charles Jamrach Craven also imported his own elephants.
