Comments / picturesThe 20-acre farm was started and operated by Ted Svertesky and the present owner Patricia Zerbini. Ted kept temporarily nine Ringling elephants at the Venice Winter Quarters until moving to his new property at Williston in 1985.

Svertesky and Zerbini ran the farm until 1994 when Ted Svertesky was killed in a train accident.

Zerbini keep all her elephants there, and lease out to Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus (RBBB)

Ringlings breeding farm, Williston


RBBB has leased parts of the farm to house their elephants, as breeding center between 1994 and 1996, when they built the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Center for Elephant Conservation.

Since 1996 Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus lease a small portion of it to house Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus - Retirement Farm.
