1954: Pisit Tansacha and his wife Nongnooch Tansacha purchased the 600 acre plot of land in 1954 with the intentions of developing the land as a fruit plantation. However, the owners instead decided to plant tropical flowers and plants as a wildlife Conservation project.

1980: The garden opened to the public in 1980.

2001: The management was transferred to Pisit and Nongnooch\'s son Kampon Tansacha in 2001.

2001: British citizen Andrea Taylor, 20, suffered fatal internal injuries after she was attacked by the rampaging elephant in April 2001. Miss Taylor died from massive internal injuries, probably caused by the elephant\'s tusk.

2008: In 2008 the International Elephant Conservation and Research Symposium took place at the Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden in Thailand from November 24 to 26, 2008.

2011: Nong Nooch currently has 41 elephants in its stables, 36 of which are female. Of those, five are pregnant.

2013: This year, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden & Resort, Pattaya had organized the activity which was bigger than the past years which there were the glorifying cortege and the parade of 15 intelligent elephants dancing to bless the King. The father elephant presented a garland to the picture of the King, the performance of the elephant calf giving the marigold garland to express love to its father and the highlight of the activity was a female elephant calf named Phang Yok, aged 10, drew the picture of King Bhumiphol and wrote the words “Caring for Dad Most.” Besides, there was the performance of the female elephant calf named Kor Ya, aged 2, Phang Yingruay, aged 2 and a male elephant calf named Sunday, aged 2, giving the garland to their fathers named Ning Nong, aged 16 in front of the picture of King Bhumiphol in order for the elephant father and its calves expressing their love to each other among the very noisy applause from the audience.

2020: female baby was born on October 19 to parents father Ning Nong, 25, and mother Pailin, 19, and was given the name Opal, the sixth elephant born this year and 97th at Nong Nooch Garden. Pailin had given birth to three babies before, Tubtim, 9, Mukda, 6, and Paetai, 2 and a half.

2017-08-17: On 17th August 2017 Nong Nooch Pattaya Garden blessed to 2 new born elephants; Yok age 14 years old on 9th August at 00.30 and Elephant name Christmas age 14 years old on 10th Auguest at 02.30.Female elephant given birth by Elephant Yok was named as Orn while another Female elephant given birth by Elephant Christmas was named as Nong Ying. They are the 9th and 10th elephants of this year and counted as elephant member number 82 and 83 of Nong Nooch Pattaya respectively. Video also recorded on the moment of Elephant Nong Ying was given birth by Elephant Yok age 14 years old on 9th August at 00.30. From the beginning of 2017 until the present, 10 elephants were given births which are 5 male elephants and 5 female elephants.

2022-09-03: 2 babies, Phang Wara Pim and Phang Manoch, born the same day. Nongnooch Garden in Pattaya currently cares for 57 elephants.
