Hilda? or Indra? was born wild 1968.
Born abt 1968. Indra/Hilda escaped from the circus as her keeper arrived to feed her. She knocked down a metal door and wandered through two neighborhoods before trying to cross a busy highway, where she was hit by a bus. Both the driver and elephant were killed, and four passengers were hospitalized after the pre-dawn collision in Ecatepec, just north of Mexico City.
