Jambo II was born wild 1955 at West Africa unspecified location.

The arrival of this elephant to Berlin Zoo is specified as coming from Firma Ruhe, Hannover, why it is assumed that the elephant was kept in Hannover Zoo some time, before relocation to Berlin.
