Comments / pictures

Janet, Kelly and Irene became a three act put together from the Hoxie Herd by Johnny Harriott to go to Venezuala for Jimmy Harrington. They would later become the Great American Herd on Allen Hill's show.

Irene was sold to Gopher Davenport and was confiscated by Albuquerque officials, along with an African cow named Donna, following the death of an elephant abandoned in a trailer in a parking lot.

2010: Irene is the Matriarch of the Albuquerque Zoo's Herd of six elephants, including two young males and a newborn calf.
