Biography

Lakshmi is a living confiscated Female ♀ Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) , located with the private owner Rameshchandra Pandey, in India.

Lakshmi arrived in 2007-07-00 to Rameshchandra Pandey, relocated from Katraj Zoo (Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park), in India.

In Rameshchandra Pandey, Lakshmi lives as single living elephant at this location

Lakshmi was born wild .

Lakshmi is partially blind due to a cataract in both eyes.

After being confiscatde in June, Lakshmi was released on a bond of Rs 2 lakh to be paid by her Mahout Rameshchandra Pandey, after he furnished the legal ownership certificate issued by the Forest Department at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
