In 1925, Blanche arrived from Hagenbeck Zoo in Germany. She was sold to Fred Buchanan by Snake King and joined the Robbins Brothers Circus in Winona, Minnesota. In 1959, she spent the summer at the Circus World Museum in Baraboo, Wisconsin, though still owned by the Morris family. //Bob Cline

"Yes indeed, Blanche was the biggest elephant in the Herd but but for some reason, never trained for the ring, just used in harness. Here she can be seen unrolling a bale of canvas with her front Feet attended by Billy Cox."
To Bud Copeland, Buckles Web Log, 2006-11-15

"You could always spot "Blanche" right away, fine looking big elephant."
Cole Bros. 1930's #7, Buckles Web Log, 2008-01-10
