Unfortanely Nemo had to be destroyed less then a year after his arrival in April 1924. He broke his log chain that was shackled to his foot and wrecked his cage. "Police fired three 30-30 bullets into Nemo,"The beast appeared puzzled,his mouth fell open. Three more bullets tore into his body. Nemo slumped dead."
