2023-07-21: — Anuradhapura, Tirappane, because of the activation of a strapped gun, Agbo the elephant has been injured for more than a month.

2023-07-31: The treatment of Agbo Tusker started last July 19 and by that time the elephant was staying in Tirappane Ulagalla wewa area. Since then, he has traveled 25 km for 11 days and now the Tusker is staying in Tirappane Labunoruwa reserve.

2023-08-09: A team of foreign medical experts are scheduled to arrive in the country to provide treatment to the injured Tusker popularly known as Agbo now lying in Labunoruwa Tank reservation in Thirappane.

Veterinary Surgeon, Anuradhapura wildlife zone. Dr Chandana Jayasinghe said the Tusker has been lying in a critical condition for about three months due to a gunshot injury caused by a trap gun.

2023-08-10: With regard to the elephant Agbo which had caught the attention of many lately, Minister of Wildlife Pavithra Wanniarachchi told Parliament today that the animal is getting weaker by the day.

2023-08-18: The treatment of Tusker Agbo, who was seriously injured due to the firing of a trap gun placed by a hunter on its front left leg, which commenced on June 12, is still been carried out by the team including Wildlife Veterinarian in charge of Anuradhapura Region Chandana Jayasinghe, and in several instances special veterinarian groups also have supported the treatment efforts.
