Moe Maik was born .

1996: “When the Buddha tooth relic was brought to Yangon from China in 1996, the staff at the zoo trained Mo Mo and two other elephants in the zoo to be in the procession. The training took place on extremely hot days, which caused stomach problems for the elephants,” said the zoo’s veterinarian Dr Tun Myint. “Her lifelong friends Ma Toe and Moe Maik died almost immediately from the stomach problems.”
