Plai Sompong
Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) at
Na Jomtien Elephant Camp in Thailand

Plai is a prefix name, orginally a Mon word, meaning youthful male or a strong man, today used in Thailand for male elephants with tusks.

Plai Sompong was born <1950.

2013-04-18: Died after tusk wounds inflicted from Plai Noi. Claimed to be 69 years.
