Kuveni is a living Female ♀ Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) , located at the Hambantota Wild Elephant Management Reserve, in Sri Lanka.

2018-05-02: a new female was collared north of the Lunugamvehera National Park. She was named “Kuveni”. On 27th April and 2nd May 2018 two females were collared north of the Lunugamvehera National Park. They were collared at the request of the Southern Development Board, which is planning to set up an industrial estate in the area. However, they have agreed not to take the lands elephant herds currently use in the area. The two collared elephants “Devi” and "Kuveni" will show which lands elephants are using
