Umri was born wild .

1992:Krishnamurthy (1992) reported that in 1991 both , Umri and Karsi were pregnant by Tong Bai.

Age at first breeding is known for 'Khoriah', 'Karsi' and 'Kartija; who gave birth in l994. l988 and l994 at 10, 11 and 12 years of age respectively...From the records it can be seen that three elephants (Khoriah, Karsi and Umri) gave birth twice, with a mean inter-calving interval of four years

1999-07-20: The Indonesia Safari Park in Prigen, in Pasuruan district of East Java, had a new addition as a 75- kilogram, 61-centimeter tall Sumatran elephant, which was named Mega, was born on Monday night, Antara reported.

Park spokeswoman Vita Nugroho said the elephant's parents were named Umri and Sidarta, both from the Way Kambas elephant preservation area in Lampung.
