Born 1964-07-20 in United States .

Although Steve Irwin was the undisputed star of Crocodile Hunter his family – including his wife Terri – played an important role in the series. Like her husband, Terri soon discovered her love of animals. She was born in Eugene, Oregon, where her family ran a freight forwarding business and her father regularly brought injured animals that he had met on the street. In 1986, Terri Cougar Country opened, a facility that helped rehabilitate foxes, raccoons, bobcats, bears, and of course, pumas and release them back into the wild.

In 1991, Terri traveled to Australia and visited Australia Zoo, where she saw Steve during one of his crocodile shows for the first time. The couple got engaged just four months later.

Steve Irwin and Terri had two children, Bindi Irwin and Robert Irwin.

Mother Terri Irwin, Bindi Irwin, Robert Irwin, and their grandfather Bob Irwin who founded Australia Zoo.
