2020-11-24 An elephant keeper who lost his job because of "spiralling" drug use has been sentenced for breaking into the zoo were he used to work in order to feed animals and take selfies with them. Lucas McGhie, 36, was sentenced in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday after he pleaded guilty to trespass charges from sneaking into Melbourne Zoo with three others in the early hours of April 14 last year.
