Eduard Wulff , whose first name could be written as Edouard or Edward, was one of the most popular circus promoters of the time and travelled extensively in Europe. Predominantly an equestrian show featuring a troupe of 60 horses all performing in the arena at one time, plus Shetland ponies and various performing horses. 1851: Eduard Wulff , whose first name could be written as Edouard or Edward, was the son of Lorenz Wulff and Rosaline Wulff. According to his birth certificate, Eduard Wulff was born on July 25, 1851 in Utrecht. After founding the circus in Budapest, Wulff had a successful career of about a decade and a half. It went bankrupt in 1906. He was living in Vienna at the time. Not long after, he worked in A. Schumans equestrian circus, and in 1909 he even appeared in the United States in the Ringling Brothers Group. When he returned from there, he returned to Vienna and died there on February 5, 1915.
