According to circus historian Herman Waldemar Otto, “six years later he [August] had the Circus Blennow with seventy horses, engaging the great artists of the world” . His many children were frequently among his featured performers. Most were trick riders and horse trainers, including Hugo Blennow, Pauline Blennow, Mathilde Blennow, Virginie Blennow (particularly famous), Hermann Blennow, Wilhelmine Blennow, Eduard Blennow, Alexander Blennow, and son August Blennow Jr. was a famous dog trainer.
