Comments / picturesPlanckendael is a zoo, located on the grounds of Planckendael castle in the village district of Muizen, in Mechelen, Belgium.

Planckendael animal park is owned by the KMDA, short for Koninklijke Maatschappij voor Dierkunde Antwerpen (Royal Zoological Society of Antwerp). After the new elephant was built most elephants from Antwerp Zoo was relocated there.
