Gemini Circus, India , was founded in 1951, opened for public in 1951. The last elephant left in 2017. Gemini Circus closed down in 2017.


Comments / pictures1951: created in 1951, in Billimoria, a town in the State of Gujarat by circus entrepreneur Moorkoth Vangakandy Shankaran (Gemini Shankarettan) and K. Sahadevan.

Owned by Ajay Shankar and family, who also operate Jumbo russian circus and The Great Royal Circus

2015: 5 elephants.

2018: Gemini Circus is not functioning now.The last show was held in Pusad,Yavatmal District,Maharashtra on June 1st,2017
