His daughter Kathryn 'Kathie' Lindemann Schulz married animal dealer Jurgen C. Schulz, (grandson to Firma Hagenbecks agent in Africa, Christoph Schulz) and the the both of them took over the zoo from her father.

Jurgen and Kathie later devourced, and Jurgen C. Schulz started to operate his business from Texas.

The zoo was closed in 2006 by Kathryn Schulz, since it was not financially feasible to keep it open.
