Their two versions of this circus history:
1891: Circus Carl Busch was founded by Carl Busch Sr in Nuremberg.
1953: Carl Stelzenmüller, a former Bavarian policeman, changed his name to Busch, claiming his mother told him on her deathbed that he was the illegitimate son of Jakob Busch. He then founded Carl Busch circus.
1980s: Circus director
Alfred Scholl
bought the name Carl Busch from Carl Stelzenmüller-Busch.
1983: Carla was bought from Circus
Corty Althoff
.
After Karl Scholl died,
Alfons Wille
(1941-2009) bought the circus name.
The circus is operating a small zoo, called
Chiccoland
