Comments / pictures2022-10-10: The new elephant camp was inaugurated on August 8 . 2022 at Harangi in Kushalanagar taluk of Kodagu district. The new elephant camp was built in the backwater area on 40 acres of forest department on the right side of Harangi reservoir, adjacent to the tree park. 15 elephant have been shifted from Dubare to Harangi.

From the Dubare Elephant Camp, six elephants have been shifted to Harangi Elephant Camp. They are Rama (68), Ekadanta (52), Maruti (21), Subramani (35), Vikrama (58) and Vijaya (48).

2022-12-23: There were a total of 37 elephants in the Dubare breeding camp and out of these, 6 elephants were earlier sent to Harangi elephant park. Now, there are 21 elephants in Dubare and 5 elephants in Harangi.
